Hello dear community,

I played on this server for a week and unfortunately can't recommend it.

Around 80% of the players stay in the southwest of the map. As a result, more than three quarters of the island are practically dead areas and mostly empty.

On top of that, agreed-upon rules are sometimes not followed, and this is apparently widely tolerated. Mixpacking and OOC communication seem to be more the standard than the exception.

Hunting other players' dinos also seems to be rather unwanted. Instead, you're encouraged to feed on NPCs instead.

The quality of the RP feels to me more like a "Dino-WhatsApp" where players talk about their everyday lives—for example, about what there will be to eat tomorrow or what pets they own. Sometimes players even come back to the place of death after dying to complain about what happened.

Species-appropriate behavior, conflicts between different species, or believable hunting situations hardly take place in my experience, because such situations are apparently quickly perceived as disruptive.

If you bring up these points, you get statements like: "If that's what the players want, should I force them to do otherwise?"

For me personally, this has little to do with the RP I imagined under The Isle.

However, anyone looking more for a dino sim with a lot of social RP or a kind of "Dino-Facebook" could be exactly right here.

I left this server and looked for a new one....
