Outerstellar Aura is a free fresh start for long-time Outerstellar players
The team behind Outerstellar has revealed Outerstellar Aura, a brand-new version of the game built on the original's foundation. The Steam page is live for wishlisting now.
What's new in Outerstellar Aura
- A new sci-fi look: Most of the game's aesthetics are being refined to feel more futuristic, mixing new elements with familiar ones.
- New threats: PvP remains, but PvE is being expanded into something more unique, adding co-op-focused combat challenges and "big threats" that may require help from other players on the server.
- Better beginnings: The new-player experience is being improved to better introduce the game's mechanics and biomes.
Free access for long-standing players
Long-standing Outerstellar players will receive Outerstellar Aura completely free. Access will be granted manually, and the team says the process will take time since it's a small group. Those players will also get exclusive access to playtests and builds as they're shared.
The original Outerstellar won't be sunset until Outerstellar Aura passes Steam verification, and not before existing players have access to the new game.
