Solace Crafting v1.2.1.3 adds C++ builds, fixes two dozen bugs
Solace Crafting’s patch v1.2.1.3 is out, delivering over two dozen bug fixes and new C++ builds for both the standard client and dedicated server, now available on the beta branches.
The C++ builds are aimed at players who are CPU-bound—those with a strong GPU but a weaker CPU. If your system is GPU-bound (e.g., with an older graphics card), you won’t see a performance improvement.
The patch also adds over 10,000 automated tests covering monster drops, biome and heightmap parity, building placement, and other edge cases.
Fixes and improvements
- Underground gems no longer blow the screen out to white.
- Gameplay errors that previously kicked you to the main menu now log the issue and continue.
- Solace defense waves can no longer hang or leave demons behind after the defense ends.
- Placing a facility or piece of furniture with a missing model now reports the problem instead of crashing.
- Fixed encounters not flattening the area around them on new worlds.
- Fixed drinking a potion straight out of a loot drop.
- Fixed several actions that silently did nothing on a dedicated server due to object lookup issues.
- Fixed an error that stopped auto-harvest, skills, and cooldowns for the rest of the session.
- Fixed placement of town buildings against other buildings.
- Fixed a crash when using or right-clicking certain items.
- Fixed the shadow toggle stripping armor and clothing off characters.
- Fixed anti-aliasing not applying immediately and again on startup.
- Fixed a batch of errors when leaving a world or returning to the main menu.
Known issue
The developer notes a grass shader problem on some hardware and asks players to report any issues.
