Icarus Week 247: Slinker saddles, Elysium reset, Scoria veins next
Icarus's Week 247 update (build 3.0.25.156508-rel-DangerousHorizons) expands Slinker saddles and cleans up Elysium. Eleven existing Saddles have been adjusted to work on the Slinker, bringing the total to 14. The craftable additions are the Desert Riding, Arctic Riding, and Arctic Survival Saddles, while the Creature Comforts DLC styles cover Arctic Explorer, Armored, Bearhide, Crocodile Skin, Deluxe Leather, Desert Tracker, Racing, and Sandworm Scale.
Elysium foliage and voxel reset
Elysium's foliage and voxels have been reset, affecting all existing Open Worlds and Prospects. Trees, rocks, and shrubs will regrow in areas players deliberately cleared. The reset addresses terrain holes, unreachable voxels, plants spawning in walls or underground, floating trees, and duplicate ore voxels stacked on top of each other. The western swamp now has more harvestable mushrooms, and the eastern swamp's terrain reveals a hidden cave and path into the volcanic region.
Reaver balance and other fixes
Reaver dive attacks now deal half damage, cannot cause deep wounds, and the active population is capped at 2. The patch also fixes Platinum Physical Material being incorrectly assigned as Coal, lets landing pads be picked up after being dropped, and gives the Lava Hunter world boss its own unique name list—"Little friend" is reserved for Prometheus mission 6.
Next week: Scoria Deep Ore on all maps
Scoria Deep Ore Veins will spawn on all maps next week. For existing Prospects outside Prometheus, re-roll Deep Mining Ore Deposits with the Deep Cycler device to make Scoria available.
