Valheim hotfix 1.0.10 repairs Deep North heavy armour; 1.0.12 adds Steam fixes

Valheim's 1.0.10 and 1.0.12 hotfixes have arrived. Patch 1.0.10 is live on all platforms, while 1.0.12 is Steam-only. The Steam fixes are fully crossplay compatible and will be extended to all other platforms in an upcoming hotfix; crossplay between all platforms remains fully supported.

The all-platform hotfix includes changes for Valheim's Deep North. Heavy armour in the region can now be repaired. Greydwarf Shamans in Deep North now deal appropriate amounts of damage and healing.

Snow behaviour changes:

• Punching no longer removes snow.
• Landing on snow without directly walking now removes snow.
• Sound effects have been updated for several creatures and the Deep North snow.

Steam players get a second batch of fixes. These are fully crossplay compatible and will reach all other platforms in an upcoming hotfix.

• Using the Forge of Potential no longer unlocks recipes that should not be unlocked.
• Items on armour stands and item stands no longer lose their durability and upgrade level if the world has not yet been loaded in the 1.0 update. The team is looking into a better fix and warns players not to remove high-level items—fish, weapons, armour, and so on—from item stands without using backups if they have been playing 1.0.
• A crash that could trigger when players tried to access a zone that wasn't loaded has been fixed.
• Banlist and whitelist now work with old IDs, such as Steam_123456789, as well as new IDs like V_123456789.
• A new popup message makes it clearer when you can receive achievements again after they were temporarily disabled.
• Achievements can now be opted into even if you have used devcommands or mods, via the new devcommand yesiuseddevcommandsbutiwantmyachievementsanyway.
• The Cart is now easier to fit through the Timberwood Drawbridge.
• Jotun Puffs and Magecaps no longer look pickable after they have been picked.
