Therizinosaurus TLC and Unreal Engine 5.8 hit ARK: Survival Ascended Sept. 30

On September 30, ARK: Survival Ascended gets the Therizinosaurus TLC alongside the Unreal Engine 5.8 upgrade, Gargantar, and Cerberax. The updated Therizinosaurus will be more expressive in the wild, and tamed Therizinos will begin to reflect the harvesting roles they play within your tribe.

Getting around the ARKs will feel smoother with improved movement and a new bounding hop for tougher terrain. Harvesting is smoother too, and Therizinosaurus now has a powerful new claw swipe for when nearby creatures need a sharp reminder about personal space. Video

Temporary Expire servers are online across the network until 10 am PST / 1 pm EST on September 18. Find them by searching for “Expire” in the session filter. Transfer restrictions apply: you can only download your character, but you can freely take anything off. These servers are being used to host additional sessions for players to farm, tame, and experience the newest content gameplay, to help reduce load off other servers, or to give players an option to temporarily jump onto a new map. They will no longer exist after the deadline, so transfer your items, creatures, and characters off before then—nothing will be saved beyond that time.

Conquest, introduced to ARK: Survival Ascended by Snail Games, focuses on large-scale PvP with increased rates. The higher rates are meant to let tribes set up quickly and rebuild after losses rather than be wiped completely. Official Conquest servers are open for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation; support is available through the Conquest Enforcement Discord.

Season 8 details: 18 maps, all Genesis Part 1. Cluster A has 12 servers that had transfers enabled with Classic before they shut down. Cluster B has 6 servers with transfers only enabled between those 6 servers for two weeks. Transfers between Cluster A and Cluster B open July 17 at 10 AM PT. Rates are 5x. Tek is enabled except Tek Grenade, Tapejara Tek Saddle, Megalodon Tek Saddle, Rock Drake Tek Saddle, Mosasur Tek Saddle, and Tek Railgun.

This weekend’s Official Network bonus rates run until Monday, September 14: PVP/PVE gets 2x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and Breeding; Small Tribes gets 4.5x Harvesting, Taming, and Experience plus 4x Breeding; ARKpocalypse gets 5x Harvesting, Taming, and Experience, and Breeding.
