Conan Exiles 2.2.0 upgrades to UE5.8.2 and Iris networking

Update 2.2.0 has arrived for Conan Exiles Enhanced as of September 15, 2026, moving the game to Unreal Engine 5.8.2 and replacing its previous UE4 networking model with Iris, Epic's new networking replication system.

Iris changes how replicated data is processed. Rather than repeatedly processing every replicated actor for each client, it sends updates only when needed, reducing the server cost of managing large numbers of players and placeables.

In testing, the move to Iris brought the biggest server performance improvement so far. It does not remove all server performance limitations, given the freedom players have to build at scale.

The update also adds new Enhanced graphics settings, plus a range of performance, stability, modding, gameplay, and visual fixes and improvements.

New armor, weapons, and decorations are coming to the Bazaar, with new bundles arriving starting today and releasing on a rotating schedule. The announced bundles are:

• The Living Shadow
• Sentinel of the Triumverate
• Breaker of Wills
• Priestking's Sacristy
• Spyrian Trappings
