Euro Truck Simulator 2 Iceland DLC trip teases Þingvellir hidden road

SCS Software has released a new SCS On The Road episode from its Iceland research trip for the upcoming Euro Truck Simulator 2 Iceland DLC. The video, published September 16, 2026, follows the map designers as they document locations they are recreating for the expansion, with landscape footage and comparisons to the in-game map.

The team gathered visual references to recreate Iceland’s landscapes and landmarks as accurately and faithfully as possible. The episode also shares insights into the map creation process and teases an upcoming hidden road that crosses a narrow bridge on its way to Þingvellir National Park.

SCS thanks Volvo Trucks and Skúli, a real truck driver from Iceland, for making it possible for the map designers to ride in a 780-horsepower Volvo FH16 XXL and experience Iceland from a truck cabin. SCS also shot a separate video with Volvo during the trip; it cannot reveal what it was about yet, but a behind-the-scenes SCS On The Road episode is planned.
