Valheim 1.0.20 boosts starred trophy drops, delays Mac crossplay
Valheim's patch 1.0.20 is out, and it targets the trophy shortage: trophy drop chance now increases with a monster's star level, and pseudo-random drop logic will no longer reset between player sessions, giving rare drops a fairer distribution. The Mac App Store version has a small delay, so crossplay between Mac App Store players and players on other platforms will not work until that build catches up.
Trophy drops and drop fairness
- Trophy drop chance is now increased by the star level of monsters.
- Pseudo-random drop logic will no longer reset between player sessions, for a more fair distribution of rare drops.
Exploits, cheat flags, and server fixes
- Fixed a possible exploit to Forge of Potential.
- Reset the cheated flag on all items and build pieces from previous versions, undoing the damage from a bug in the initial 1.0 release that marked some validly obtained items as cheated.
- Fixed a bug that caused Cheat Sword and Cheat Sledge to not be considered cheated in specific cases.
- Fixed dedicated servers running at an uncapped frame rate when v-sync was enabled in a client on the same computer, which wasted massive amounts of CPU time.
- Adjusted attachment points for sheathed weapons.
- Xbox One/Xbox Series S|X: Fixed settings failing to save between sessions for some users.
