Euro Truck Simulator 2 UK rework reveals Edinburgh and Leith

In a 21 October 2026 update, Euro Truck Simulator 2’s UK Rework gave players their first proper look at Edinburgh. The Scottish capital is being rebuilt with Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat and the Leith waterfront, while trams and double-decker buses are being recreated to bring more life to its streets. The team says there is still plenty more UK Rework news to come.

The rework captures Edinburgh’s historic Old Town and famous castle, with Princes Street at the heart of the sightseeing. Around the shopping street, drivers can spot the Scott Monument, The Balmoral Hotel’s clock tower and Edinburgh Castle overlooking the city from Castle Rock. Arthur’s Seat, one of Edinburgh’s most famous natural sights, rises above the capital and can be seen from many areas around it and beyond.

The team wanted Edinburgh to feel like more than a collection of landmarks, so the city mixes busy commercial streets with residential neighbourhoods, churches and statues of notable figures. At Picardy Place, a statue of Sherlock Holmes watches over the surrounding streets.

Leith is one of Edinburgh’s main industrial areas in the rework. The Port of Leith includes docks, yards and surrounding infrastructure, and players will find delivery jobs at the port or a local construction site. More locations to deliver to and from are on the city’s outskirts.

The Edinburgh garage sits right beside the coast, near the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. The team notes that friendly furry friends may be hanging around nearby.

Edinburgh’s public transport is being recreated with trams and double-decker buses. Edinburgh Bus Station is also being built with the upcoming Coaches DLC in mind, allowing players to pick up and drop off passengers as part of journeys to and from the Scottish capital.
