American Truck Simulator 1.62 adds Route 66 Tourist Boards

American Truck Simulator's 1.62 update will expand the Road Trip Atlas exploration feature with new Tourist Boards in ten states and a Route 66 Cross-Border Tourist Board.

New boards across ten states

Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Washington and Louisiana each get one Tourist Board, while Nebraska gets two. The boards add fresh Points of Interest, Viewpoints and Photo Trophies, with a new postcard rewarded for each completed board.

Route 66 board marks the highway's 100th anniversary

The Route 66 Cross-Border Tourist Board is dedicated to Route 66's 100th anniversary, following the completion of the highway's journey across American Truck Simulator with the Illinois DLC in May. It covers exploration locations in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

Based on owned DLCs, the board is represented by one active Tourist Board in Atlas and the world. Visiting it uncovers all available exploration locations in the states you own.

Completion needs every covered map DLC

Players without all relevant map expansions can still explore locations in the states they own. Unlocking the special postcard requires owning every map expansion covered by the Route 66 board and visiting every associated location. Completion also rewards a Route 66 Air Freshener accessory.

Activating the board without all covered expansions triggers a pop-up listing missing DLCs. The Atlas interface also shows missing locations and their DLCs under the board's list of individual locations. The board stays in the “List of All Tourist Boards” without all required expansions and does not affect Atlas Overview or Career Progress statistics.

The boards expand the Atlas feature from the already released Road Trip: Ford DLC, which added brand-new Ford cars last month. The upcoming Road Trip: RAM & Dodge DLC can be wishlisted.
