Squad is coming to PS5 and Xbox; free PS5 alpha starts Oct 16

Squad is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 with Secret Mode. PS5 owners can jump into a free technical alpha preview from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 25. It’s open to all, but you must enlist at alpha.joinsquad.com.

During the preview, players join the Armed Forces of Ukraine or the People Liberation Army and fight over the strategic rail line running through Gorodok. Squad’s official Discord is the place to find other squaddies and discuss the experience.

All Steam Squad players can claim the Recon Team Pack free during the event. It includes five woodland weapon skins for the USMC faction:

• Pointman — M16A4, M27, and M38 rifles
• Liana — M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle
• Sweep — M249 Light Machine Gun and M240B General Purpose Machine Gun (also available to the USA faction)
• Palm — M91A1 and M18 pistols
• Sage — M32 and M320 Grenade Launchers (also available to the USA faction)

Claim the pack via the Steam store before October 25; it’s only free until the end of the technical alpha.
