CS2D 1.0.1.8 Patch 2 adds controller auto-switching and crash fixes

CS2D 1.0.1.8 Patch 2 is out today as a mainly bug-fix release. It makes the game automatically try to switch between mouse/keyboard and controller depending on what you're actively using. Players can still force-disable controllers in the settings.

Input and editor fixes

The automatic switch addresses the annoyance of losing mouse/keyboard control while a controller is connected, which previously required disabling controller support in settings or disconnecting the controller. Cut/copy/paste hotkeys also work again in the editor, chat, and input fields.

Scripting, stability, and bots

  • The settile command now supports rotation in degrees: 0, 90, 180, and 270.
  • The Lua tile command now returns false for color, blend, or brightness when those values are not set, instead of 0.
  • A vulnerability/possible server crash has been fixed.
  • Advanced shadows should no longer cause crashes after multiple map loads.
  • The Env_Room entity's "Daylight influences color" option now works properly.
  • Bots and pathfinding no longer try to use disabled teleports.
  • Bots now also use the chainsaw, machete, and claw melee weapons.
