Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas launches October 27, taking players to Catuaí, a new map inspired by rural Brazil. Pre-orders are open; the DLC detail page has more information.

Catuaí is built around wide, rolling hills, tropical vegetation and a winding river that connects farms, production sites and a lively village. Wooden bridges carry roads over the water toward the jungle and surrounding farms, while the starter farm opens onto a scenic view of the landscape. From there, roads lead to coffee-growing hills, production facilities, the rainforest and the village at the center of local activity.

The map’s distinctive look comes from terra roxa, the iron-oxide-rich red soil characteristic of the region. Dense Atlantic rainforest, new trees and bushes, coffee plantations on the hillsides, compacted earth walls, Brazil-inspired infrastructure and regional details complete the setting. The roads also use new high-resolution surfaces, including hexagonal paving stones around the village.

The starter farm includes a farmhouse and a selection of vehicles, with free-roaming chickens around the farm. Catuaí has two gas stations, the larger one in the village, plus production and service points including a spinnery, logistics center, paper mill, oil refinery, animal dealer and vehicle dealer.

Coffee-processing facilities are spread across the map. The new paint production chain turns dye and resin into paint at the Paint Factory, with several materials available for producing the dye.

Catuaí has no snowy winter; its climate is divided between a dry season and a rainy season. When rain falls, puddles form on roads and concrete, the red soil darkens, asphalt changes appearance, porous brickwork absorbs moisture and changes color, and metal develops a reflective layer of water.

Parrots and caimans are among the regional wildlife you can encounter while exploring. The caimans do not bite. At the edge of the map, hidden among the rainforest, a research station built in a traditional wooden style with a thatched roof offers information about Catuaí and the region. Posters cover local trees and bushes, sugarcane, coffee, alpacas, traditional instruments and other regional characteristics.

A museum in town lets you put a dinosaur on display out front after finding its bones across Catuaí to rebuild the skeleton. Hiking spots around the map include places where you can observe the results of your work in the distance.

Patch 1.25 for Farming Simulator 25 is available now, released October 20. It adds hired helpers for horses and alpacas, year-round vineyard planting and a new narrow-track John Deere S7 Crawler, alongside HUD and vehicle-display improvements.

• Vehicle fixes cover the Krone GX 520, Krone X-Collect 900-3, CLAAS Lexion 8000 and Einböck Taifun 900.
• Localization fixes in many languages.

• Straw Harvest Pack 1.3.0.0: feeding robots accept straw and hay pellets; hall crane improvements; palletizer belts stop when production stops; clearer fill type warning.
• Pumps n' Hoses Pack 1.2.0.0: the hose pallet can be sold again; pump HUD improvements; the pump picks up a changed source fill type; multiplayer fixes and a clearer warning when too many fill types are registered; fill type can be set on the HS 5100 / SP 8040 buffers.

The Beans & Alpacas expansion for Farming Simulator 25 launches October 27 and introduces the new Catuaí region. The pack includes six new farmhouses, more than 80 new placeable and decorative objects, new sheds and fences, and region-specific trees, bushes, and fauna. Pre-orders are open now.

Catuaí introduces six new farmhouses. You start small and can upgrade your living space when your farming operation grows to the next level of profit. All of them come with interiors you can actually step inside. The starter farm is the example: go in, change clothes, and save your game.

Pre-placed buildings can already show a certain amount of wear, and that condition continues to change over time. With age, more and more wear appears on the structure. If you prefer a freshly maintained look, deliver paint to a farmhouse and it will look new again.

Beans & Alpacas is described as having probably more placeables and decorations than any previous expansion. There are over 80 new objects, from houses to fences and bushes, for customizing your land. Catuaí also adds new trees, bushes, and fauna created to fit the region, helping the landscape establish its own distinct character. You can place decorations yourself to make your farmstead look nicer.

New sheds store your machines and other stuff. You can also build fences from a variety of new options to give your farm a heightened sense of security and, if you like, advertise it as "crocodile-free." Caimans won't enter your living room — probably. They don't bite either way, and the expansion does not guarantee their absence if you build your home near their habitat.

Farming Simulator 25's Beans & Alpacas expansion brings a connected production economy to Catuaí. It adds coffee and banana goods, alpaca products, material-based items, and Fungicide for wider crop care. Some recipes support optional ingredients, adding flexibility to selected production chains. Coffee starts with harvested Coffee Cherries and moves through the Coffee Processing Plant. It expands into Coffee Bags, Packed Coffee, Roasted Coffee, Coffee Capsules and Coffee Beverage. The chain also connects to Coffee Yogurt and Tiramisu, with the Roastery, Coffee Shop, Dairy and Bakery involved.

Bananas move through the Banana Washing Station and are collected in Banana Boxes before becoming Banana Snacks, Banana Milk, Fried Banana, Banana Jam, Banana Cake and Banana Chips. The Canning Factory, Banana Drying Station, Dairy and Bakery connect to the branch.

Alpaca Fleece goes through the Spinnery to create Alpaca Wool. The Tailor Shop turns alpaca materials into Alpaca Plush, Alpaca Pillow and Alpaca Socks, while Carpentry adds Alpaca Chair and Alpaca Stool. Alpacas are introduced as a new animal type; a separate animal preview covers them.

Copper Ore, Resin and Pigments lead into Paint Production, creating Paint Buckets. The Sawmill provides Resin, the Pigment Factory produces Pigments, and the paint can be delivered to select houses in need of a repaint, helping to repaint the town. This adds another practical use for establishing production chains on Catuaí.

The Research Station is a new construction project at the edge of the map, away from the main road and surrounded by lush rainforest. When completed, it adds a traditional regional architectural style with wooden construction and a thatched roof to Catuaí. Once finished, you can enter and learn more about the region; inside, informational posters cover trees and bushes, sugarcane, coffee, alpacas, traditional instruments and other regional characteristics.

Multiple dinosaur bones are hidden in the soil all over Catuaí and can be uncovered by working the fields. Collected bones go to a skeleton display at the local museum. Completing the skeleton earns a special wearable reward that is fluffy, though you have to find out the rest yourself.

The Pumps N' Hoses Pack is out now for Farming Simulator 25 as a free addition, with Patch 1.23.0.0 released alongside it to guarantee compatibility. Developed by Creative Mesh and published by GIANTS Software, the pack adds new manure, fertilizing, and biogas systems plus more than 40 machines, tools, buildings, and other items. The free drop lands as Farming Simulator 25 passes five million players.

In Catuaí, the new South American region, bananas can be planted and harvested year-round, and they can also be grown in other regions.

Bananas get a dedicated setup built around rails and washing stations. You can lay individual rows by hand or paint a field boundary to auto-generate the whole layout, with the system calculating row direction, rail count, area, and cost.

Harvesting can be manual with a machete: cut the bananas, hang them on the rails, move them through the system, and take them to washing stations, where they're processed into pallets. Hired workers can automate the harvest instead.

Maintenance is part of the loop too. Diseased plants need fungicide treatment with a tractor and a specialized sprayer before they recover. After harvest, banana trees are cut back rather than removed, then regrow for the next cycle.

Bananas aren't just for selling. Boxes of bananas can be processed into banana milk, chips, jam, cake, and more at the drying station, dairy, canning factory, or bakery.

Beans & Alpacas also brings Catuaí, coffee estates, new crops, animals, and production chains, plus more than two dozen new machines.

GIANTS Software restated its position on Farming Simulator mods in no uncertain terms in a statement released August 24, 2026: "Mods have to be free."

The studio says modding has always been an important part of Farming Simulator, and that modders' creativity, passion, and countless hours have helped shape the series and its community. Creators may still receive donations, build communities, monetize videos and other content, and benefit from official ModHub opportunities — but access to a mod itself must not require payment.

Players should be able to discover, share, learn from, and enjoy mods "regardless of their ability or willingness to pay," and a donation should always be voluntary — never a condition for access.

The studio also says it will keep looking for new ways to support and reward creators while keeping mods free to the whole community. Its principle: "Support creators. Reward great modding. Keep mods free."
