Hello, brothers! So, I'll drop a few lines about the zone, I mean about the "Vladimirsky Central" server in CS2. I've been playing here for a while, I've got something to compare with, so the review will be honest, no showing off.
The mode's gist: You join — and right away it's like you're not in CS2, but in a prison. Either you're a convict trying to survive and not catch a bullet hole ahead of time, or a cop with a gun who's having a God day today.
The pros (what works):
Atmosphere "by the rules": The server is really styled around this theme. The music, player models (chickens there, authorities), greetings "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and also rotten devils!" — this is fire. Admins make sure the "laws" of the zone are followed (not Freedom, but specifically prison framework).
Events by admins(players): This is just awesome! I love when a cool commander joins the server and starts holding contests. Either a maze with traps, or obstacle races, or "Russian roulette" with revolvers. Really diversifies the gameplay, not just endless running around.
Own mini-games: The maps are well chosen. When the cops allow you to play — it's a pleasure. But if the cops get rowdy — then the chaos starts.
Punishment of unfair cops: If a "guard" kills everyone for no reason or breaks the rules, you can file a ticket against him. Admins here seem to come fast and punish such "lawbreakers".
Cons (or nuances):
Hard for newbies: You join for the first time and don't understand a damn thing. Why can't you run? Who is "KMD"? Where to get weapons? Until you get the "rules", you'll be killed like 10 times.
Boring when there's no proper KMD: If there's just an admin on the server and no cool commander who fires up the crowd, it can get pretty boring. Then either sluggish running around begins, or the cops just kill everyone in the first 2 minutes of the round.
Conclusion:
If you're tired of just running and shooting in competitive mode and want to laugh, chat, feel like either an authority or a sixer — "Vladimirsky Central" is the spot. The main thing is, listen to what the elders say, don't run on red light, and don't shoot out of turn, and you'll be happy.
My rating: 10/10 (solid). Atmosphere is there, people hang out, admins work.
Peace to all and clean barrels
