Trade problem

I tried to trade a knife in CS2 with a friend through Steam. After confirming via the mobile authenticator, we both got a message that the items cannot be traded. Now neither I nor my friend have the knife, the items just disappeared. Has anyone had something similar happen?

A retry usually helps. Sometimes it's worth checking account security settings and any blocks. If nothing works, contact support.

Sounds strange. Try restarting Steam or wait. Sometimes items get stuck.
