Why is there no single-player mode?
This would give players the opportunity to play in a calm atmosphere, without pressure from others. You could just explore the world, build bases and learn on your own.

The issue with textures may be related to low graphics settings or graphics card drivers. Try updating the drivers or changing the in-game graphics settings to higher ones. Sometimes clearing the game cache or verifying file integrity helps.
