Miscreated Update 1.2.10 locks down base storage and anti-cheat

Miscreated's Update 1.2.10, dated July 28, 2026, introduces server-side protection for locked base storage, more anti-cheat hardening, durability-related combat changes, and a semi trailer fix.

Server-side base storage protection

Locked base storage containers are now protected server-side. A raider must visibly damage a container to 25% of its maximum health before its contents can be removed. When that threshold is reached, the server outputs a log message containing the name and SteamID of the account that did the damage.

Anti-cheat and durability changes

Additional server-side work closes more ways cheaters were getting into locked bases and reaching things they should not be able to reach. Broken tools and weapons can no longer be used to damage anything until repaired. A tool or weapon worn down to zero durability can no longer be swung until it is repaired, which also fixes a bug where attacking with a fully worn-out tool could leave you unable to open your inventory or switch weapons until rejoining the server. Server operators can tune enforcement live via hosting.cfg or RCON.

Fix

Jumping into the bed of a semi trailer no longer occasionally teleports you underneath it.

Miscreated update 1.2.9 patches fast travel, anti-cheat, and lag spikes

Miscreated's July 21 update (version 1.2.9) tackles several stability and quality-of-life issues. Fast Travel to Base now lands correctly instead of occasionally dropping you under the map or into the ocean. Two sources of unexpected join kicks and disconnects are fixed: protected players are no longer kicked during long level loads while the anti-cheat handshake completes, and a brief Steam authentication hiccup no longer instantly drops a connected player—the server briefly holds your slot and re-authenticates you.

Lag-spike handling has been hardened. Movement is now measured against real elapsed time, position corrections are held back during catch-up, and a single spike can no longer snap you, preventing brief connection stalls from false-flagging a legitimate player.

The plot sign "Show Bounds" option now works in release builds, drawing your plot's build volume as a visible cylinder so you can see the exact area where you are allowed to build.

Claim my server
I am trying to use a gm.link to claim ownership of my self hosted server running as a service on a Debian Linux machine. I think I add the link to my hosting.cfg but am unsure as to the syntax In hosting.cfg + is not used and = is not used so I ether use gm.link with a space and then the provided token in quotes or just enter the token and save the hosting file. I might be wrong. Some direction would be helpful. Thanks
