  • Expanded Systems: adds three planetary systems and three new planets, revealed via SOS signals after every 10 hours of playtime.
  • Deep Wild Space Content: hardcore pre-made world with new ore maps for all planets and moons.
  • Exploration Fortification: every planet gets new ores and its own dangers, creating natural tech tiers and progression.
  • Celestial Cartographer: planetary data such as gravity, weather, wildlife, and minerals must be surveyed and documented before it is revealed.

Space Engineers dev preview: NPCs pathfind on moving, rotating grids

A new Space Engineers development preview shows NPCs pathfinding across grids that are actively moving and rotating in space, demonstrating their ability to operate smoothly and correctly as conditions change around them. The team calls it "an exciting step toward bringing more dynamic encounters to your worlds."

Space Engineers reverts wheel propulsion in hotfix 1.210.014

Space Engineers' latest hotfix, version 1.210.014, is now available. It rolls back the recent Wheel Propulsion Override change after player feedback found it disrupted existing mech builds, restoring consistent behavior for constructs with or without a control block. The team says it is working on "a more robust solution" that improves the behavior without disrupting existing constructs.

The hotfix also includes three functional fixes:

  • Allowed bottles to refuel sooner, so the "Fuel low!" jetpack voice message no longer fires before refueling can happen.
  • Fixed Flat Collector side-conveyors failing to work due to incorrect dummy names.
  • Fixed stations with subgrids becoming offset when attached or after reloading a world. Affected bases won't shift further, but they need to be restored from a 209 backup or repositioned in singleplayer using Scenario Edit tools (2xF11, then translate the base). Turn off damage in Alt+F10 > Global permissions before moving the base.

Space Engineers hotfix 1.210.013 tames subgrid clang, fixes merge blocks

Keen Software House released Space Engineers hotfix 1.210.013 today, August 7, 2026, addressing a handful of grid-behavior bugs, a Production screen issue, and some visual glitches.

Functional fixes

  • Subgrids no longer clang after a Jump drive jump.
  • Sorters no longer block pull actions across the grid.
  • Merge blocks welded from a Projection no longer detach when both blocks are On and functional.
  • Flat Collectors now pick up resources on their sides; the rotated detector dummy was the culprit.
  • Battery Bank blocks got corrected mount points.

UI and art

The Production screen now shows blueprints for the current build planner setup. On the visual side, Short Stairs have improved surface shading, and the Prototech O2/H2 Generator decals were fixed.

Space Engineers: Prosperity adds Factorum Drone Depot

The Factorum Drone Depot, a new Factorum Global Encounter, is now live in Space Engineers: Prosperity. Strange signals in the void point to valuable Prototech, and the Factorum are apparently still hiding something. As always, getting your hands on it won’t be as simple as grinding down a few blocks and flying home.

Track it down, break through the defenses, and see what secrets you can bring back in one piece. Some engineers are already plotting the fastest way in — and the most explosive way out.

Masters of Motion competition closes August 31

Keen Software House is also running Masters of Motion, a mechanical engineering video competition for Space Engineers 1 & 2. Submit a YouTube video of your mechanical creations for a chance to appear on official channels and win a €20 Steam gift card. The Keen Software House team will pick the Top 10 entries: five become highlighted videos, while the rest get Honorable Mentions. Submissions close on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 23:59 UTC.

Space Engineers: Prosperity Update is live with new blocks

Keen Software House has released the Prosperity Update for Space Engineers on July 27, 2026, and it is free for everyone who owns the base game. The update adds a new Factorum encounter, the Prototech O2/H2 Generator, a Ping Grid button for lost ships, major Services Terminal and economy improvements, and a modernized Space Respawn Ship. A paid Prosperity Pack DLC also launches now with over 50 decorative blocks.

Economy services get clearer and safer

Services Terminals now explain why a grid cannot be stored or deployed — for example, if it is moving, recently damaged, or otherwise not ready. Server owners can prevent stored grids from being pulled from very distant locations and can make retrieval timing distance-aware. Precision Mode deployment can snap its marker to your character's current position, and repair, salvage, and storage rules have been tightened against bypassing hacking or ownership restrictions through station services.

Shop owners can opt each store out of Item Search without breaking the store itself, while modders and scenario creators get new options for enabling repair and salvage services on player-made grids. Contracts also received adjustments and better mod support.

New encounter, new blocks, and a lost-grid lifesaver

A new Factorum Global Encounter brings hidden Prototech and valuable signals into your worlds. The update's block list includes the Prototech O2/H2 Generator (large grid), which refills fuel and oxygen up to 10x faster while using less power than standard generators.

The Ping Grid button on the Info screen generates a GPS point at a grid's current location, which stays until you remove it — handy for anyone who has misplaced a mining ship, scout rover, or "temporary" construction platform.

Other free additions: the small-grid Flat Collector, large-grid Structural Platform Conveyor, Short Stairs, and Passage 2 Frame, plus a rebuilt Space Respawn Ship designed to be clearer for new and returning engineers. The update also adds automatic subgrid naming, auto-fill bottles while recharging, NPC suit variations, Story Datapads at economy stations, Laser Antenna UX improvements, wheel indicators, and DLC badges usable as faction icons.

Heads-up for builders: Wheel Propulsion Override behavior has been adjusted so forward means forward and backward means backward. Existing builds using Propulsion Override may need adjustment.

Prosperity Pack DLC and free Decorative Pack 2 extras

The paid Prosperity Pack adds over 50 cosmetic blocks, including Sloped Cockpits, Bulky Hydrogen Tanks, Steep and Solid Stairs, Battery Banks, Square Railings, Decorative Server Racks, Cable Runs, and Round and Square Lights. These blocks do not affect gameplay balance.

Existing Decorative Pack #2 owners also get new Triangular Grated Catwalks for free as part of the update.

Warfare 3 comes later this year

Keen confirmed that Warfare 3 is slated for November/December 2026, with new weapon types, new combat systems, and more dynamic PvP and ship-to-ship engagements — plus new threats that may not be aimed only at other players.

The most vanilla of the vanillas. Complications like the lack of a jetpack and third-person view are just fire.

🌌 Pure chill server with mods for guns, sit and build something, no restrictions on builds, but preferably don't build anything laggy.
🥂 Server purely for fun with survival, fighting against corporations (NPCs) and maybe among yourselves, however you want.
🧹The server will be cleaned manually to prevent lag, but we won't touch players' builds 🚽
Have a nice game everyone! 🏒

The Ksenus server is truly impressive with its content and activity. I've never seen so much content on any server. The admin is always ready to help and create a pleasant atmosphere for players, just don't do anything crazy or you'll face retribution :) The server gave me a ton of positive emotions and a great mood. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

If you're asking about the server password, it can't be found out, only an admin can tell.
