American Truck Simulator heads to Sioux Falls in South Dakota DLC

The latest American Truck Simulator preview takes us to Sioux Falls, the largest city in South Dakota and one of the highlights of the upcoming South Dakota DLC. The expansion is still work-in-progress, but this tour shows a city built around the Big Sioux River that grew from a small historic settlement into a bustling Midwest hub. The map team recreated many of the locations that make Sioux Falls instantly recognizable.

Falls Park and downtown landmarks

Drivers are greeted by the Welcome to Sioux Falls sign before reaching Falls Park, where the cascading falls on the Big Sioux River inspired the city's name and remain one of South Dakota's top attractions.

Downtown combines historic architecture with modern businesses. The Minnehaha County Courthouse, a quartzite building that has stood for well over a century, is joined by a bus station with a colorful mural celebrating the city's artistic culture and community spirit. Other landmarks include the Arc of Dreams sculpture, Fawick Park, and the USS South Dakota Battleship Memorial, featuring one of the WWII battleship's original main gun barrels alongside displays honoring the crew who served aboard.

Trucking work in Sioux Falls

The city offers a broad range of freight work. Truckers can deliver to a food processing plant, warehouse, construction site, rail supply depot, metalworks, wind turbine factory, recreation vehicle dealership, and truck dealership. They can also haul materials and equipment to and from the local quarry, a nod to the region's long-standing quarrying industry that helped shape many of Sioux Falls' historic buildings.

The South Dakota DLC for American Truck Simulator can be wishlisted on Steam now.
