Counter-Strike 2 update upgrades demo viewer, restricts round backups

The October 14, 2026 Counter-Strike 2 update targets demo/replay viewing and server-side round backups. Demos and replays now show a download progress bar, and camera controls use a click-and-drag scheme.

Free and chase cameras can also be used while a demo is paused, and minor issues with seeking to a different position in a demo file have been fixed.

Round backup files now require the game server startup flag -allow_round_backup_files.

• AUG standing and crouch reload animations were updated to better match the new reload duration.
• Allowed radio commands now have an explicit list.
• CS2 Workshop Tools gained the toolsskybox_occluder tool material.
• The Vulkan renderer received stability improvements.
